This is a great set of stairs for a light weight animal, and the decor is nice too. I got it for my 3 legged cat so she wouldn't claw up my couch when trying to climb up. We had to entice her onto the stairs the first few times with some treats or cat nip, but once she got used to using the stairs she liked them and had enjoyed lying on the top stair instead of the couch. The foam they are made with seems pretty firm, so for lighter weight animals I think it would hold up indefinitely, but not sure how it would fare over time with heavier

animals.

These steps are great! Very supportive. I weigh 135 pounds and they held me no problem. We actually purchased them for our grandkids to get up and down, in and out of their bed. My husband put a support behind this step as well as along the side so they wouldn’t tip. The kids love them and bumps and bruises are kept to a minimum with the great foam inside the steps The fact that the cover is removable and the steps can be folded for storage makes them even better! I highly recommend them. PS my dogs can go up and down them they are just too tired this morning to show you.

My pug is middle aged now and I have an exceptionally high bed that he could never jump up on and he was getting hesitant about jumping down. I figured this would be a great thing for him and I wasn’t wrong. It took him a bit to get used to it, and some treats to get him to climb up the first few times. I think he’s kind of big for the stairs and the softness of it freaked him out, but now he’s reveling in his newfound freedom and comes and goes as he pleases. It takes up a bit of room, but it’s worth it.
